The Simpler Life

I was senior producer across this character-driven ensemble 6×60 series for Channel 4, an obs doc social experiment taking a group of volunteers from around the UK to live simply with the Amish as their guide, testing whether or not a simpler life could prove an antidote for the stresses and strains of 21st century living. I was involved in setting up the experiment on the farm from pre-production and throughout 4 months on location, story producing alongside the SPs, managing AP to set up story drivers including operation of 40-acre working farm, outside interactions with local businesses, farmers, markets, country shows, all during Covid 19. I edit produced episode 5, an ultimate test for the volunteers as their Amish guides left them to manage alone on the farm, crafting compelling story lines from months of footage and working closely with the Executive Producer to channel delivery.
